I never understood the storage memory difference my system showed until I read this

It appears there is a fundamental difference in the way drive manufacturers rate the storage size vs Operating System does. The system sees 1KB = 1024 bytes, but for the drive manufacturers 1KB=1000 bytes and this explains all the difference.
So, the next time you put in a 100GB drive and notice the system shows you only 97.6GB or so, now you know the difference. Snow Leopard now makes this transparent.

How true !!
September 16 2009 it is an important milestone in my life. Didn't achieve anything literally, but technically yes. I will be 30 this day. It is a great feeling. Still filled with unfulfilled dreams that started at 18. Well, the next 30 is always there :-).
One of my friends sent this funny little thing about what makes you if you are born this day. Removed of all other days and posting mine...
Most of it looks true :-)))
